A few weeks ago I had the delight to visit Sarah’s studio and see where all the magic happens and it was beautiful!
Hace unas semanas tuve el placer de visitar el estudio de Sarah y ver donde sucede toda la magia y era precioso!
I was first drawn to Sarah’s work because I could tell she had an influence of the hispanic/latin american culture in her work and after talking to her I realized I was right! Sarah has traveled all over Latin America and even studied in Spain. Sarah and I had a wonderful conversation about culture, heritage, wanting to track your past and finding who you are because of who came before you. I have to say, it was one of the most meaningful conversations I have had with someone in a long time that also happens to think the same way I do.
Me atrajo primero a la obra de Sarah porque me di cuenta de que tenía una influencia de la cultura americana Hispano / Latino en su trabajo y después de hablar con ella me di cuenta de que tenía razón ! Sarah ha viajado por toda América Latina e incluso estudiado en España . Sarah y yo tuvimos una conversación maravillosa sobre la cultura , el patrimonio , con ganas de realizar un seguimiento de su pasado y la búsqueda de lo que eres por ser quien llegó antes . Tengo que decir , que fue una de las conversaciones más significativas que he tenido con alguien en mucho tiempo que también pasa a pensar de la misma manera que lo hago .
Her work speaks to me in a way that reminds me of my family, my heritage and all the beauty my culture has to offer. It also reminds me how grateful I am to my parents for choosing to come over to the United States and how I hope to always continue to carry my culture.
I admire her work so much and I have to say I wish I had such a creative mind like hers. In another life where I chose to be an artist it would have been doing the exact kind of work Sarah currently does.
Su trabajo me habla de una manera que me recuerda a mi familia , mi herencia y toda la belleza de mi cultura tiene para ofrecer . También me recuerda lo agradecida que estoy con mis padres por haber elegido venir a los Estados Unidos y cómo espero seguir siempre llevar mi cultura.
Admiro su trabajo mucho y tengo que decir que me gustaría tener una mente tan creativa como la de ella . En otra vida en la que yo elegí ser un artista hubiera estado haciendo el tipo exacto de trabajo Sarah hace actualmente.
