Houston Rodeo

houston rodeo must dos

I decided to take a little spring break and went down to Houston to visit my family for a few days. Since the Houston Rodeo was in town and I hadn’t been in a few years so I decided to go with my family. If you have never gone and want a quick first time guide for the future here is everything I think you should do when you go.

  • Attend the carnival- One of the funnest things to do is the carnival and this year we bought the fast pass which let you skip ahead of the line but you still have to pay for tickets to get on all of the rides. Be wise on what rides you get on because each ride costs a different number of tickets.
  • See the livestock- Seeing the livestock is free and they have a petting zoo you can go in as well. This section in very kid friendly and has lots of things that they can interact with, plus learn about them.
  • Attend a concert- During the whole month of the Houston Rodeo their is a concert every night and something you will like.
  • Try some rodeo food- Just like texas everything here is bigger and lots deep fried, so indulge.

Here are a few pics of my time at the rodeo with my family!
